Description of company:Johnson Outdoors Inc. (JOI) is a publicly
traded company on NASDAQ. The Eureka! Tent Division has more than a
century of tent and soft shelter experience and is the only full line
tent manufacturer with design capabilities that serve camping, military
and commercial canopy/rental markets.



The experience gained in over 106 years of building soft shelters has
carried over to development of tentage for both structural and sleeping
tents covering all branches of the U.S. Military.



Our latest innovation in tent design and manufacture is the RDS or Rapid
Deployable System . . . a unique and patented design that allows the
users to be under-canopy is less than 14 minutes. The RDS is available
in the three most popular sizes requested by the military. Each RDS is
equipped with an attached TEMPER vestibule adapter, plenum systems and
floor and liner.



In addition to the RDS, Eureka! began developing the current Modular
General Purpose Tent System (MGPTS) design in 1997. Long a leader in
the design and development of tents Eureka! has been a leading supplier
to the military on other tent/shelter projects, including the U.S. Army
3-man Lightweight Extreme Weather Shelter (LEWS), the 2-man Marine
Combat Tent, the 4-man Extreme Cold Weather Tent (ECWT), the Canadian
Survival Environmental Protector Tent (SEP) and the Chemical /
Biological Liner for the MGPTS.



Eureka is an active participant is the DLA Tent Net program. Eureka is
currently chairing a short term project with DLA on Standardizing
Shelter Component Assemblies for improved supply chain performance in
surge capabilities, lead times and quality.
